beYOUtiful: I started this blog to vent my frustrations at how the world was boxing me in because of my weight. I felt denied the right to be myself at my weight. I felt expected not to 'live' until I had reached the desired weight acceptable to society and the world. Until I reached an epiphany! What if I never made it to my goal weight? Ever? Did that mean I should come to the end of my life having always tried to achieve someone's else's ideal? No! I challenge people's perceptions about big people and I want to support those who are yet to come to the realisation that you should accept yourself as you are and saying, "you know what? I exist now. Today and I deserve to be happy. Today.". I am not promoting obesity. What I am promoting is happiness at every size too. Not just for those who have an 'acceptable' weight. If the physical matters over and above who the person is inside I say that is the real problem. It's an illness. I want to help others as I learn myself what it is to be ourselves as plus size people and share tips on how we can make the world a much happier place for ourselves. Despite our misinformed critics!
