Heels Help Please! How do I Wear & Walk In 'Em?!

Well I'm still excited about the BBC news that a major department store like Debenhams in the UK is recognising the need to cater for real and plus sizes in society today.  Some people have reacted to say this will encourage people to become fat etc.  I say Bah to that!!! I'm not saying we shouldn't have skinny mannequins but that we should have some skinny, some a size 16 and maybe one day some faaat ones. Mannequins in a window which represents all sizes. One day.   Mannequins should reflect the target market for the line of clothes.  I hate when I look in a plus size catalogue and the model modelling the clothes I want to wear is a size 12!  We're getting real now and I thank Debenhams for making such a courageous move when other high street stores would hide.  Afraid their designers will shun them for it.  But Debenhams you wait and see.  Your profits should soar.  Any Fat Friendly move is a positive one! I hope to see your ranges widen too to include the very plus like myself at a size 28/30.  I like Debenhams anyway but now I love it!

Anyway, moving on as it's not what I wanted to share today but couldn't help it.

It's all about the shoe.  I love shoes.  Don't you?  Because shoes are for everyone whatever size aren't they?  Yes, they are.  The choice is yours which pair of shoes you like and will wear.

Okay....I love some of those 6 inch high heels but I can't walk in them!!! I can stand in them but how I wish I could walk further than a few steps in them.  How I wish I could.  My calves start to tighten as if a major cramp is about to attack either my calf or my thigh and the shin splits are unbelievable!  But boy do they look good.  Then I look at plus size fashion blogs and plus size modelling sites and I see women wearing those very same high heels at close to my size?!  How are you doing it???!!!!  Please, I'm serious, I need help.

People have told me to start practising by wearing wedges.  They hurt just as bad.  Some say if it's a platform they won't hurt but actually they still do!  Can I get an Amen?!!!  Anywhere from those a size 24 and over? Or am I truly on my own here?  Can you wear them comfortably at your size if you are above a size 24?  How?!!  Please share.  This is a very serious topic and I mean to get the better of this glitch which stops me enjoying my love of heels by learning how to wear high heels at my size and not feel the pain!  There just has to be a way.

I love Christian Louboutin!!!  Like seriously and they have a great kitten heel and flat shoe range as well as a high heel one.  Sometimes though I like to glam it up by wearing a heel out to dinner or a special function but it's no use.  With my occasional plantar faciitis as well the balls of my feet it ain't going to happen!

Well I still think there must be a way.  I refuse to give up.  Any plus (like faaat) size people out there who have overcome this?  Please! Please! Please!  Get in touch and share some tips.  I love flats and kitten heels but not all the time?!

Waiting for your tips. :)

Stay heeled up and beYouteeffool bigYoutifuls!
